• Lead a team to build an expansion and installed assembly lines for Honda Civic dashboard air vents. This included designing, building and getting customer approval of all processes and the end product. Implemented work instructions and assembly line worker policies. Oversaw tooling implementation, approval and repair for plastic injection mold department.

Walbro Engine Management – January 1986 thru September 2004

Operation Manager - July of 2001 – September 2004
• Responsible for all daily operations of a precision Die-casting Facility. My management team consisted of Human Resources, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Production. While overseeing 100+ employees on 3 shifts, I was responsible for all parts of the business including external sales while reporting to a management board. During this time profitability, productivity, employee retention increased as inventories and quality issues decreased.

Materials Manager - June of 2000 – July 2001
• Responsible for purchasing, and material control of over 50 million dollars of annual purchases. Development supplier relationships while reducing inventories thru visual methods.

Product Line Manger - Electronics - March 1997– June 2000
• Responsible for production, quality and inventories for ignitions and smart box assembly. Oversaw production line improvements thru the use of Kaizen and Key drivers. Gained Capital approval and implemented the change from analog to digital system.
• Interim plant Manager for 6 months in 2000. Was responsible for a facility of 2500+ employees in a 24/7 operation.

Engineering and Quality Positions - January 1986 – March 1997
• Quality manager for a $100 million sales facility.
• Customer Service Engineer responsible for customers in North America, Europe and Asia. Visited customers and plants to ensure our products met our customer’s needs.
• Materials and reliability Engineer responsible for parts both purchased and assembled in carburetor facility.

• Production Management: Extensive production experience with Walbro Engine Management and Anchor Tool and Plastic at times managing 400+ employees on 3 shifts. Have managed production lines in both mechanical and electric assembly processes for the automotive and the small engine industries. Have led work teams thru the use of Key Driver Index’s, Visual Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S methods to improve and raise productivity and quality to world class levels. Implemented fast change over systems and standardization to both processes and work instructions. Through these methods have increase the uptime of a diecast facility from 58% to 87% in a three year period while increasing profitability from -7% to 11%.
• Engineering/Tooling: Have experience with designing, building and implementing high speed production lines. Created test equipment to eliminate variation and increase accuracy of diaphragm carburetors. Worked with production and quality to increase production rates and mistake proofing thru the use of time studies and 8D methodologies. Have extensive knowledge of design and repair of stamping, die-casting and plastic injection molding tools.
• Quality: Worked as Quality Manager implementing and achieving QS certification. Have a vast knowledge of six sigma and the 5 Why’s methods of problem solving. Managed production lines which have achieved PPM ratings of less then 10.
• Accounting/Finance: Expertise includes management of general ledger accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial audits and automated accounting systems, return on investments, net present value, forecasting, and budget planning. Outstanding analytical skills with relentless attention to detail. Able to handle a multitude of separate tasks at any given time.
• Materials Control: Led teams to implement a MRP system as well as visual inventory systems. Worked with purchasing and engineering to reducing purchased part content from 51% to 45% in six months. Implemented agreements with both supplies and customers to increase inventory turns to 58 times annually.
