Objective:
Senior Executive Assistant to C-suite officer level executive(s) where I can effectively utilize my expertise in managing the day to day operations of my executive with a high degree of confidentiality, discretion and poise. Support the executive and the organization by incorporating my administrative expertise and marketing/public relations skills so as to independently manage logistics, inquiries, correspondence and presentation composition, communication, and event planning and execution, and building with a focus on the company’s short and long-term strategic goals.

Executive Assistant to the President and CEO / Manager, Corporate Communications

Served as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of small biotech startup from May ’95 – August ’00. During this period I established communications and office systems in 8,100SF office/laboratory facility in Norcross, GA (relocated to 25,000SF facility in Alpharetta in Mar 99). I also served as office manager and human resources coordinator, in addition to supporting the CEO and senior management team. Hired and trained senior management administrative staff and receptionist. Promoted to Manager of Corporate Communications following our IPO in August 2000.
• Coordinated due diligence meetings and road shows with national investors, securing > $39M in capital;
• Tracked the CEO’s ongoing projects and priorities and those of his direct reports;
• Assisted executive management with special projects as needed;
• Coordinated national and international conference registration and speaking engagements
• Coordinated bi-monthly Board of Directors meetings, annual Strategic Board Retreats and Scientific Advisory Board meetings;
• Coordinated senior management recruiting efforts (build-out of senior mgmt team);
• Managed all public relations materials, liaison with company PR firm; drafted and distributed press releases to local bureaus; dotted line responsibility to the CFO in this role;
• Designed and created company Corporate Information Booklet, biotech conference marketing exhibit posters and handouts; redesigned company website;
• Assisted Director of Finance with coordination of Company Stock Options; maintained all legal and patent files;

Promoted to Executive Assistant to the President and CEO in 1991. In this capacity, I provided overall administrative management within the Office of the President. I was direct liaison between Executive Staff, Board of Directors and VC/investor community. Responsibilities included:
