Job Description:
Mechanical Engineer wanted by Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, America in Lake City, South Carolina, with Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least two (2) years of experience as a mechanical engineer. Qualified candidates must have knowledge of risk analysis, root cause analysis, Production Control System, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Systematic Design Methodology, Design of Experiments (DoE), MATLAB, Python, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Feedback Control Design. Job duties to be performed:
1. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for mechanical parts, sheet metal forming, and steel structures for integrity of engineering designs.
2. Design and create engineering drawings for mechanical systems using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
3. Develop projects using systematic design methodology such as needs analysis, functional modeling, and systematic decision making.
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments using Adaptive/feedback control system theory to integrate automated systems with mechanical systems.
5. Collect and analyze machine failure data for modeling equipment optimization using MATLAB and Python.
6. Validate machine design for functionality and manufacturability using knowledge of manufacturing processes, 3D Printing, and metalworking.
7. Perform Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure machine tolerances meet engineering drawings and specification for equipment installations.
8. Implement risk analysis and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) for engineering projects to prevent critical system failures and safety hazards.
9. Design and conduct experiments using Design of Experiments (DoE) to find root causes of mechanical-related abnormalities in production line.
